this week saw the resignation of congressman jesse jackson jr. he resigned citing health preans wean he's been treated for bipolar disorder. he said he's under federal investigation. he came in with all kinds of promise. this seems to be the end of a career. >> yeah, he did, and i liked him. i thought he was an able legislator. elected in 1995. he was only 30 when he came in, went on the appropriations committee. and moved beyond his father's shadow. was involved in bringing clean water to his own community, and scholarships and funding for preparatory schools. he did something beyond what was predicted for him. but he got-- he got sucked up in one of the terrible scandals, not simply illinois. when a governor, especially a corrupt governor like rock blagojevich, wants to apont a united states senator and the bidding and auction gets in, and he allowed himself, apparently-- seemed to-- become involved in the auctioning of that seat to replace barack obama. and the irony is that nobody has moved, jeffrey, from a congressional black district overwh
